Preseason (Week 2): Washington Redskins 13, New York Jets 10

Remember how there was all this talk about New York was in love with Brett Favre and they were selling No. 4 jerseys. Well, for his first game under center for the Jets, an estimated crowd of 45,000 showed up. Yes, it's preseason, but it certainly was a weak crowd. Sorry, New York. Favre was at quarterback for 14 plays. "I thought it was an excellent start," Eric Mangini said of Favre. "He was able to move the team down the field and put us in a position to score." Kellen Clemens, Favre's new Aaron Rodgers, struggled a bit as he completed 5-of-12 passes for 63 yards and no touchdowns. Colt Brennan, the Hawaii kid, stole the show from Mr. Drama Queen himself.

CBS Sportsline's Mike Freeman sets the stage for Favre's preseason start with the Jets: "Some 60 minutes before kickoff approximately 30 photographers and others (including a writer for the team's website) gathered at the entrance to the tunnel where the players jogged onto the Giants Stadium field. They were all waiting for Favre. When he entered there was a roar among the several thousand early-arriving fans and an NFL Films crew followed Favre closely behind."
