Sam Zell keeps on cutting the LA Times -- 75 more please

LA Observed is reporting that there will be another 75 newsroom employees trimmed from the Los Angeles Times payroll. Sources told the LA Observer that the "newsroom staffing level is headed to about 650."

During the last cutbacks this summer at the Los Angeles Times, it was revealed that the "Wizard of Odds" was one of the ones let go by the newspaper. He revealed his identity on his blog after years of anonymity. He has since moved his blog and it is now called The Wiz of Odds. He turned out to be Jay Christensen. Who knows, maybe there is another blogger in this batch.
